The CORE line is Junair stripping its booth engineering down to a straightforward spec at a lower entry cost, and the CORE 1 is that idea in cross-flow form. Cross-flow booths cost less to buy and less to feed: no full-ceiling media set, no exhaust pit, just filtration at each end of a horizontal air path. The trade is that air passes along the vehicle rather than down over it, so anything the intake media misses gets a longer ride across your wet paint. In a cross-flow, more than any other layout, filter freshness is the finish quality lever, which is good news, because it is also the cheapest lever you have.

How CORE 1 shops choose filters

Intake side. The intake face is your only barrier between shop air and wet paint, with no ceiling stage behind it to catch what slips through. That argues for treating intake panels as the premium position in the budget: a tacky-faced synthetic panel media, seated with no bypass gaps around the frame, changed before it blinds. Exhaust side. The exhaust wall runs arrestor media, fiberglass pad or roll as the default, polyester where loading runs heavy. How do I know when the exhaust arrestor is done?

Watch pressure drop if you have a gauge, and watch behavior if you do not: overspray fog persisting after the gun stops, solvent smell hanging in the booth, or a visible mat of dried overspray on the media face. Any of those means the pad is past due, not almost due.
