Intake side. Two ceiling pad formats are documented for the Advantage family: 78.5 by 246 inches and 39 by 292 inches, both polyester diffusion media. Which one your booth takes depends on cabin configuration, so measure the plenum opening before the first order. A pad this size also changes the labor picture: plan on two people and a clear booth, because a 20-plus-foot pad does not go in solo.

AMU stage. The air make-up unit runs pocket-bag prefilters, documented at 24 by 60 (sold two per case) and 30 by 60. These protect the burner and fan from inbound dust and cycle on their own schedule, independent of the ceiling. Skipping them to save a few dollars trades cheap bags for expensive heater and fan maintenance.

Exhaust side. The Advantage's exhaust media is documented in wall-grid panel positions, in fiberglass arrestor at 47.5 by 52 and 21.5 by 47.5. The two sizes typically map to different openings in the same grid, so most change-outs involve both. Fiberglass arrestor is the workhorse here; it loads progressively and holds overspray deep in the media rather than caking on the face.

Cycle math. The exhaust panels and AMU bags will turn over several times for each ceiling change on a typical collision schedule. Budget accordingly: the ceiling pad is the big line item, but the small formats are the frequent ones.

For a collision shop, the Advantage sits squarely in EPA 6H territory (NESHAP Subpart HHHHHH): spraying happens in a booth fitted with filter technology, operated and maintained as designed. A single-pad ceiling makes that unusually visible, because a sagging or torn pad is obvious and undermines the filtered-airflow condition the rule assumes. OSHA 1910.94(c) requires maintained ventilation for spray finishing, which in practice means changing exhaust media before static pressure climbs out of range. NFPA 33 treats accumulated overspray in exhaust paths as a fire load; loaded arrestor panels are scheduled consumables, not run-to-failure parts.
