Check the SDS for the coatings you spray; look for hazardous constituents (chromium, lead, cadmium, certain solvents at retainable concentrations). Most modern automotive collision coatings have moved away from the hazardous constituents and produce non-hazardous filter waste.

Non-hazardous filter waste. Goes to standard solid-waste disposal through your municipal or commercial waste channel. Document the disposal date and the receiving facility for environmental compliance records. Most state and AQMD authorities don't require special disposal documentation for non-hazardous filter waste.
